The prospect of living in Zimbabwe is somewhat of a risk at the current time, so you may think that there would be very little appetite for visiting Zimbabwe’s casinos. In reality, it seems to be operating the other way, with the critical market conditions leading to a higher desire to wager, to try and find a quick win, a way out of the crisis.

For most of the people surviving on the abysmal nearby money, there are two established styles of gaming, the state lotto and Zimbet. Just as with almost everywhere else on the globe, there is a state lottery where the odds of profiting are remarkably small, but then the prizes are also unbelievably high. It’s been said by market analysts who look at the idea that the lion’s share don’t buy a card with an actual belief of winning. Zimbet is based on either the national or the United Kingston soccer divisions and involves predicting the results of future games.

Zimbabwe’s casinos, on the other foot, mollycoddle the incredibly rich of the society and vacationers. Until recently, there was a very big vacationing business, built on nature trips and trips to Victoria Falls. The economic anxiety and associated bloodshed have carved into this trade.

Among Zimbabwe’s gambling dens, there are two in the capital, Harare, the Carribea Bay Resort and Casino, which has five gaming tables and slots, and the Plumtree gambling hall, which has only slot machine games. The Zambesi Valley Hotel and Entertainment Center in Kariba also has just slot machines. Mutare has the Monclair Hotel and Casino and the Leopard Rock Hotel and Casino, the pair of which contain gaming tables, one armed bandits and video machines, and Victoria Falls has the Elephant Hills Hotel and Casino and the Makasa Sun Hotel and Casino, each of which has gaming machines and tables.

In addition to Zimbabwe’s casinos and the previously alluded to lottery and Zimbet (which is very like a pools system), there are a total of two horse racing complexes in the country: the Matabeleland Turf Club in Bulawayo (the second city) and the Borrowdale Park in Harare.

Given that the economy has contracted by more than 40 percent in recent years and with the associated poverty and violence that has resulted, it is not well-known how well the sightseeing business which is the foundation for Zimbabwe’s gambling dens will do in the next few years. How many of them will be alive until things get better is simply unknown.
